President’s Message
Happy Holidays!
I look back in pride at the accomplishments of Fresno NWPC as 2023 comes to an end, NWPC participated in the Fresno Rainbow Pride festival with a parade entry and a booth, participated in events at Fresno State promoting our message of equality and equity and a woman’s right to chose. The Women’s Equality Day Event featured Senator Toni Atkins and successfully raised the most money we ever have at a PAC event to support women candidates.
NWPC membership has increased, if your membership has expired please renew at our website: https://www.nwpcfresno.org/membership. The level of influence and voting privileges at the State is dependent on our membership numbers.
The December meeting will be a Holiday Celebration! Wear your craziest sweaters and bring your holiday smiles! We will be inviting our endorsed candidates and elected officials!
Appetizers will be provided for $15.
We have not been able to contact Live Again Fresno, the program we planned on supporting, consequently, we will not be donating to them at this time.
The Board recommends either a monetary donation to Planned Parenthood, Miramonte, or collecting for the EOC LGBTQ Resource Center. They provide resources to homeless youth who are in need of non-perishable foods, hygiene products, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, tampons, makeup, etc. Contributions will be accepted at the December member. Thank you for your generosity and kindness!
Wishing you a peaceful and healthy holiday season!
In Equality,
Marsha
